One man encounters another on the Staten Island Ferry, asking if this is the River Styx. Confusion arises, with no sticks seen in the river. As it turns out, the man asking is a modern-day follower of the ancient Greek religion who has died and is searching for that religion's afterlife. The other indicates he's dead too, but stuck on this particular ferry with no way to learn more about the comely woman he has a crush on. Will they join forces to help each other onward?

This ten-minute play is set aboard the Staten Island Ferry, but requires no special costumes, props, or lighting. Comedy arises from the interplay between a bookish Classics devotee and a working-class schlub.
