Iamb and You Are Too

Hiram has just finished his skydive, landing in a field and nearly colliding with a woman who has suddenly appeared, emerging from an underground bunker where she has hunkered down to ride out COVID. This meet-cute premise is followed by conversation in which Hiram attempts to free Lois from her self-imposed shell. The dialogue is completely in rhymed verse, with a varying number of iambic feet per line to mirror the character's changing perspectives.
This ten-minute play requires a parachute, a protein bar, and a water container as props, but for a set just needs the representation of an open field. Interplay of the characters is what drives the action.
