Pun-loving Ahmed Latif has opened the Ahm Lett Detective Agency. When a woman comes in seeking a job, Ahmed assumes she either wants to be his secretary or wants to take out a hit on someone. Since he's an honest man not in need of an assistant, at first he demurs. But the woman has "connections" and won't take "no" for an answer. And the job she's asking for isn't for herself...
Ahm Lett revels in wordplay and is filled with puns on the theme of "eggs." The light tone mixes with a hint of menace to make the banter come to noir-tinged life. With a simple set and easily obtained props, Ahm Lett is an easy ten-minute play to produce.
