Mira, the schizophrenic resident of a group home, has just bought what was described to her as a talking mirror. She tries to get it to respond to her, alternately aided and discouraged by two conflicting voices in her head (portrayed by two separate actors). The setting need consist only of a seat, and the only prop required is a hand mirror.
The tone of this short play changes from comedic at the start to more contemplative at the end. The situation is inherently comic, but Mira's extreme need for companionship ultimately outweighs the sarcastic comments of one part of her subconscious and the sweet encouragement of the other part.
