A License to Kiln
1m, 2w
1m 30-50; 2w any ages
Emily runs the Human-Executed License Lookup bureau in the basement of city offices, filling in until the backlog of existing licenses is computerized. In comes Mr. Fiddelstein to get a license for his wife's business' new kiln and to renew some weapon licenses. As he's filling in the forms, Jolene arrives to request a license lookup for the same business. It seems that Mrs. Fiddelstein intends to remove her husband from the business ownership...
Taking place in a cluttered, file-filled basement office, A License to Kiln combines the gossipy interaction of Emily and Jolene with the silent realization of Mr. Fiddelstein as to what is occurring, and what his reaction will be.
