That Geezer Ebenezer (and the Cratchit Crew) tells the story of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, but with a twist. In this version, Ebenezer Scrooge is showing early signs of dementia, and Bob Cratchit and his wife plot to take advantage of his spells of confusion to bilk him of his money, home, and business. They recruit their six children (three boys, three girls) to portray Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future to befuddle old Scrooge. They succeed in their plot, but Scrooge takes refuge with his loving nephew Fred and the eldest Cratchit daughter, Martha, who has more heart than the rest of her family.

The action takes place on a set consisting of Scrooge's office on one side, the Cratchit home on the other, and the door to Scrooge's house in the center. Aside from Scrooge, Fred, and the eight Cratchits, the cast includes a group of carolers who sing at various spots in the plot.
