Breaking and Mentoring

Teenaged J.J. has been caught breaking and entering, and Angus has been assigned as a court-ordered mentor to straighten J.J. out over four weeks of sessions. J.J. is uncooperative at first, then gets drawn into a web of lies and half-truths spun by Angus, with a kernel of hard truth at the heart. The lessons learned are unpleasant ones, for both J.J. and Angus.

Breaking and Mentoring requires a single set, the run-down kitchen of Angus' residence, and calls for only a few props, among them a high-end cellphone box (but not its contents). Lighting effects are called for to accompany a short sequence of fantasy scenes, but otherwise technical requirements are few.
