The lead scientist of a conglomerate is testing the effect of nitrous oxide on irate customers, with the help of a perfume sprayer. Although N2O is a potent greenhouse gas, the scientist believes it could have widespread use in ameliorating people's perspectives on climate change. And the testing gives the perfume sprayer a sense of purpose.

This short play is easily produced, taking place at the return counter of a department store, with the only props needed a perfume spray bottle and an item that the disgruntled customer is returning. Pessimism at global warming combines with optimism inspired by laughing gas to produce light, black comedy.
