Meeting Mommy
1w, 2 either
1w 35 or older; 2 either 17 years younger
Childless Eileen suddenly finds herself in a place where two people come up to her, claiming that she is their mother. As the pieces of their stories come together, Eileen realizes that she is dead and that these two people are the children she had aborted a few months apart when she was seventeen and who have been anxiously waiting to be reunited with her, since they are all part of the same soul. This after-life reunion ends with all three going to join Eileen's third, miscarried child.
This thought-provoking, bittersweet comedy is easily produced, since it requires no props or setting, and only street clothes as costumes. Casting is very flexible, with the ages of the children relative to their mother's age, and with the children's sexes not identified.
