A Cure for the Common Cold

1m 20-60, 1w 20-60

Trey Mendes has developed a cure for the common cold. When he brings it to Taylor Madoff, a pharmaceutical company executive, complications arise that may prevent it from ever reaching market.

In this one-act, two-person comic melodrama, each actor plays three roles and provides the voice for another, offstage character. The swift changes between characters adds a lot of fun as our hero (Trey Mendes) and heroine (Verily Sweet) contend with the villain (Taylor Madoff) and his minions.

Since realistic sets are not required, production requirements are fairly simple, but can be enhanced by recorded sounds, including an announcer who introduces each scene. The rollicking plot and eccentric characters make A Cure for the Common Cold lots of fun for actors and audience alike.
