Hollow Graham

Hollow Graham takes place during a drama club reunion at which the presence of Hollywood hotshot classmate Graham is expected. When cryptic text messages begin to arrive from Graham, secrets from high school days are revealed bit by bit, leading to a sobering conclusion.

The action takes place in the main room of Sarah's second-floor apartment. Sarah’s father invented a home holographic kit. She and her friends reminisce to holograms of her high school productions while awaiting the arrival of Graham. Half the stage is left empty for the holograms, with furniture cluttering the other side. Lighting effects suggest the holograms, with the actors portraying holograms occasionally required to perform in fast-forward mode.

The human cast consists of Sarah, three guests at the drama club reunion (one woman; two others of either sex), and downstairs neighbor Mrs. Diavoli. The hologram cast consists of high-school-age Graham, three teenage girls, and a singing pre-teen girl. Four TV feed voices are also required, with video as well as audio a possibility if production facilities allow.

Hollow Graham gradually becomes darker as the action proceeds. Camaraderie of old friends contrasts with friction from outsiders and long-held jealousies and longings to drive to a compelling ending.
