1m 30s; 1w 70s, 1w any age

Lloyd has been doing exterior work on his grandmother's house, removing trees and rotted wood. In the process, he and his crew have taken down the porch, shutters, and a rotting oak with blue bottles tied to its branches. The problem? His grandmother has relied on the bottles and blue paint to ward off haints and boo hags that would otherwise be free to torment her. With no protection overnight, her body is taken over by a boo hag who attacks a neighbor descended from an evil plantation owner who had mistreated her in life. And Gran is descended from the overseer on the same plantation...

Production requirements are not extensive for the show, with just a simple set and props, but spookiness through lighting and sound will enhance performance. Haint Blue brings Gullah traditions to spooky life in a ten-minute play.
